How it works

  1. Choose your state

    Offices appear in the order the voting machine asks.

  2. Pick your candidates

    See who each one is, with official data: candidacy status, party and declared assets.

    The paper cheat sheet goes with you into the booth.

  4. After you vote

    The list does not end at the ballot box. It remembers who you picked, and starts showing what that person does in office.

Voting is the start

An election lasts a day; a term lasts four years. Colinha shows what you can follow afterwards, from the same official records, each with its date.

Current term
From when to when, and how much of it has passed. Open data from the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate.
Attendance
How many Chamber sessions the person attended, out of the total. Not a score: the count the house itself publishes.
Assets over time
Assets declared at each election, side by side, adjusted for inflation over the period.
Campaign money
How much came in, where from, and what it was spent on, from the accounts filed with the TSE.

The app gives no scores, no rankings and no recommendations. It shows the record and says where it came from.

Why print it?

Phones aren't allowed in the voting booth (Law 9.504/97, art. 91-A). A paper cheat sheet is, so you won't forget a single number.

Official data

Everything comes from the Superior Electoral Court's open data and is checked every 3 hours. We don't rate, recommend candidates or show polls.

Where the data comes from, and how to correct it

Every candidacy record comes from the open data files of Brazil's Superior Electoral Court, and each screen says which file and the day it was collected. Terms in office, attendance and office contacts come from the open data of the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate.

We keep the original file from every collection, exactly as the TSE published it. That is what lets anyone check that the app changed nothing.

We give no scores, no rankings, no recommendations and no polls. When the Electoral Court rejects or revokes a registration, the app repeats the wording the TSE itself publishes, with the case number beside it.

Found something wrong?

Write to [email protected]. If the app is showing something different from the TSE record, that is our defect and we fix it. If it matches the TSE and the record itself is wrong, only the TSE and the candidate can change it, and we will show you where to go.

Colinha BR is an independent app. It has no ties to the Superior Electoral Court, to any party, campaign or candidacy.
